Here's a 48 Special G box that is suitable for ink storage. It measures 6 1/2" x 5" x 4 3/4" tall and is deep enough for those Noodler's bottles. It will hold six Noodler's or Private Reserve bottles, or four Montblancs. Like other Oliva boxes, it is nicely made with box-jointed corners and "brass" hardware. Oliva boxes are well made, frequently with a double latch on the front. I've re-purposed three as pen storage. These boxes are nicely finished on the outside and require no additional finishing. I have left the tax stamps in place for character. The first one is now in the hands of a friend, and I use the third one myself. The second is available. | This Oliva box has "brass"
hinges and latch. I covered the tray with soft felt to get
green (I only had a tan tray) and lined the lid and sides with
self-adhesive felt so that pens can't touch any bare wood.

| Here's another Oliva box, deeper than the first one, which led to a much bigger project: a two level storage box. I made the pen compartments using strips of wood padded on both sides with felt. A red ribbon handle makes lifting the top tray out an easy and safe process. |  |
